How MeriEmail got started

MeriEmail was introduced to shield children from online dangers by a  mother  whose  family  fell  victim  to  the  cyber  threat  that  is currently affecting many homes around the world. Our story is not one without a sad beginning, but we hope to make it a positive end. As devastated as this family was, they knew some thing needed to be done to make sure this never happened again to their children or anyone else's child.  

MeriEmail is a new e-mail messaging system to counter cyber threats and to block all viruses, known and even unknown. We believe MeriEmail could soon replace the way e-mails are sent & received in many homes, schools, organizations, and offices.   

Although the MeriEmail technology may not be unique in itself, the application of this technology is unique because it eliminates the use of standard e-mail addresses that paralyze junk mailers’ multiple e-mail capabilities. Instead, the user selects a secret screen name for sending and receiving all online messages.

Orginally, MeriEmail was developed to shield children from unsolicited e-mails. Following the tragic events of September 11th, we believe that the system has much broader and more immediate applications by keeping terrorists out of all e-mail inboxes. We think that such people may soon attempt to spread fear throughout the country by exploiting all of us, especially our children who are the most vulnerable.  

This serious threat led to the development of the new MeriEmail program by Computer Collaborative, that are promoting    family-safe Internet.
 

We believe that the rapidly growing threat to children on the Internet has only begun and it's effects will be felt in many homes in the years to come! This serious concern for online children led to the development of the following child safety program by Computer Collaborative:
